Dana C. Lamb-Schaubroeck has been a teacher for over twenty years, with this being her eighth in Fayette County Schools. Formerly of Cleveland Elementary School, Dana's love is truly vocal performance, music theater, piano, and non-traditional performance.  In 2013, she was a semifinalist for the first Grammy Music Educator award, was honored for her work and commitment to the community in August 2013 as the cover of Fayette Woman, and received recognition from the Fayette County Board of Education in December 2013 for her commitment to professional education and musicianship. Most recently, Music and Arts named her one of the top 25 music educators in the country. She is thoroughly excited to be an Eagle and part of the Flat Rock Fine Arts Team.

Dana holds a Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Education from Western Governors University and a Master of Music Education from Boston University.  Her philosophy is that music is a part of everyday life and that her classes should develop the musician within each student based on their interests and talent levels.  She has studied piano with Juliet Shaw at the Silvermine School of Music, Dr. Watson Morrison at the Hartt School of Music, studied voice with Dr. James Jordan of Hartt School of Music, music theater with Broadway directors Al and Lillian Matthews, and has performed throughout the United States on piano, as an actor and director on the music theater stage, and as a director of choruses of all ages.

When Dana is not fully immersed in the Flat Rock Fine Arts program, she is an award-winning professional songwriter and works extensively on her catalog of inspirational and educational music.  Her song "You Should Dream" was chosen by The Texas Tenors, the most successful music group to come from America's Got Talent, as the title track of their sophomore album and name of PBS special.   "You Should Dream" was performed by The Texas Tenors on The Today Show, The Hallmark Channel, and Fox News.  This Emmy winning PBS special was filmed in Phoenix in 2013 with the Phoenix Symphony and continues to air across the nation.  When not working on her own music, she works as a lyricist, orchestrator, and producer on a variety of other artist's projects in the Nashville area.  She was also asked to co-write "Teach Me How To Dream" with McIntosh alumni and Peachtree City-based singer/songwriter Jackie Gray which is sung at all Fayette County Teacher of the Year Celebrations.

She is also an advocate for music and arts education in the schools and serves as the National Director of the Educational Advisory Committee for the Muzart World Foundation, founded by Pat Melfi and Ken Kragen (creators of "We Are the World").  In 2013, she was the keynote speaker at the "We Are Hope" event featuring Mark Wood and Jackie Evancho, speaking to over 21,000 people about the importance of music education in the public schools.  She is currently working on a project that will transform the music education profession at a national level.

Dana is a mom to two wonderful children.  Christie is a junior and is aiming her sights toward New York City upon graduation to embark on a music theater career.  Scott is a seventh grader and is aiming his sights at becoming a professional chef/entrepreneur.  She also has two rescue dogs, Teddy and Jojo,  and a stepdog Buddy who also keep her quite busy.  She remarried in October 2015 to Mark R. Schaubroeck. She now has three stepsons, two stepdaughters-in-law, and three stepgrandchildren ranging in ages from 1-6.
